The Part-Time Student Program is primarily designed to augment the Company s regular full-time staff and is for students who work in parallel to their school schedule.
Your Responsibilities
- Applies existing applications to routine problems
- Learns and applies company engineering policies and practices; learns company products
- Executes test or analysis plan for product verification and validation
- Evaluates possible design solutions to improve cost, quality and performance based on knowledge of engineering applications
- Compiles and furnishes necessary information to document the design solution required for building of prototypes and adoption of the design with possible involvement of other functional engineers, supply management and/or supplier personnel
What Skills You Need
- Ideally you will be pursuing a degree in Engineering, Technology or Math; others may apply
- Must be registered as a full-time student at a local accredited university (Hawkeye, UNI, Wartburg, etc)
- If currently attending a community college must plan to pursue a 4-year degree
- Graduation date of 2022 or later
- Cumulative GPA of 2.8 or above
- Must be able to commute to the work location on a daily basis
- 16-20 hours/week during the academic year
- 35-40 hours/week during the summer semester
