Job Description: The Produce Category Marketing Manager (CMM) is responsible for the management of the produce and perishables categories and their performance to include sales and profit performance, negotiations and promotions. There is involvement with the Marketing Department/Marketing Coordinator in the areas of merchandising the products as well as marketing new and existing products to increase sales and profits. Another key responsibility is overseeing the level and quality of inventory in order to meet both company and customer expectations. This position will also serve as a resource for sales and customer needs by training staff and helping with special requests for items/vendor. This job requires the ability to multi-task and handle issues on a regular basis. Candidate should possess strong computer skills, problem solving skills and the ability to be flexible in a high paced environment. Strong written and verbal communication skills are a must.
Job Requirements: - Associates degree or 6 months to 1 year related work experience - Intermediate to expert level computer skills - Strong negotiating and problem solving skills - Ability to organize, prioritize and handle multiple tasks at once all while being flexible - Excellent verbal and written communication skills - Strong sense of urgency and ability to work within deadlines - High degree of professionalism - Previous foodservice purchasing experience preferred but not required
