Qualifications:
Ability to interact with management, associates, guests, and the general public in a courteous, tactful and patient manner.
Excellent communication and organizational skills.
Dedicated, hard-working, and self-motivated to work independently with little guidance.
Current and valid driver's license in order to drive the shuttle van if necessary.
Responsibilities & Specific Duties for the Assistant General Manager (AGM):
Assists the GM to ensure that all policies, procedures, federal, state and local ordinances with regard to personnel, security, cash handling, guest relations and safety are followed.
Assists the GM to ensure that the property and its inventories are always in the best of conditions.
Comply with all corporate accounting procedures.
Conduct month end inventories regardless of the day of the week.
Oversees the supervision of the hotel with a focus on cost controls, to include taking appropriate actions to correct deficient conditions, behaviors, and work practices.
Assists the GM with hiring and ensures employee practices comply with company and legal requirements.
Both with the GM, and in the GM's absence, inspects the property on a regular basis and enforces the implementation of actions toward safety, comfort, and cleanliness of the hotel and guest satisfaction.
Assists the GM in monitoring hours and staffing on a daily basis with accurate scheduling and budget guidelines.
Finds solutions for problems such as call offs, last minute bookings, or any other problems that may arise.
Thoroughly understand and implement the hotel brand service culture.
Provides administrative support including but not limited to, handling incoming calls, general office duties including faxing, filing, mailing and copying, scheduling, and miscellaneous projects as assigned.
Other duties as assigned by the GM.
Hours of work:
The hotel operates 7 days a week.
The Assistant GM will work a minimum of 40 hours per week.
This schedule will need to be flexible to accommodate fluctuating business demands and it may be necessary to work shifts other than those normally scheduled, including evenings and weekends Job Type:
