9K a year Performs clerical duties that support the daily activities of nursing units.
Under the supervision of the Registered Nurse, assists nursing staff with various patient care activities.
Works cooperatively with the nursing staff and other health team members to enhance quality patient care and patient satisfaction.
Adheres to MercyOne Northeast Iowa's performance expectations and performs all defined services and other related duties in accordance with the mission, vision and values of MercyOne Northeast Iowa.
Requirements:
Medical Secretary, Medical Administrative Secretary, or Medical Assistant degree or degree in related field.
Without Medical Secretary, prefer 3 years experience in a medical office/hospital setting.
Mandatory Reporter.
BLS.
Non-Violent Crisis Intervention Training (NVCI) within 6 months of hire.
High language, intermediate math, intermediate reasoning ability.
Typing with knowledge of medical terminology; Ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
Personal computer; mainframe information systems experience preferred, database software.
