Position Summary We are seeking a licensed insurance professional to oversee, support, and develop department staff.
The position is approximately 50% administrative managerial duties and 50% working support in the department.
Our staff are a team of dedicated, organized, service-oriented members who specialize in assisting independent insurance agents, quote, sell and service individual health, life, and annuity policies for their clients.
The ideal candidate must possess strong leadership and communication skills, an organized self-starter with the aptitude to become a subject matter expert in the individual health insurance, life & annuity markets.
Responsibilities Coordinate the day-to-day workflow of the department, ensuring that policies and procedures are implemented to support daily operations which includes setting objectives and holding staff accountable to effectively meet business demands and deadlines.
In addition, overseeing staff schedules to provide adequate department coverage for business needs.
Encourage staff development and team growth, including regular one-on-one meetings with team members.
Work with leadership team to implement business company business strategies and be the department liaison to provide communication on carrier/client issues, market news and team updates.
Provide relevant timely reporting on department goals, staff development and overall company objectives.
Be knowledgeable in all individual health (including Medicare), life, and annuity product lines offered through PIPAC, including quoting, sales, enrollment, and customer service processes.
Understand and promote agent quoting and enrollment tools.
Provide back up support for all positions as necessary due to business cycle.
Knowledge and skill requirements Bachelor's Degree from an accredited college Health and Life insurance license preferred or ability to obtain.
2-3 years proven success of team leadership.
Must be a highly organized self-starter with excellent written and verbal communication along with a strong interpersonal customer service skill.
Ability to adapt and continue to develop knowledge in a regularly changing industry.
